Invincibelle™ Spirit Hydrangea
(Hydrangea aborescens 'Spirit')
Hey, it's a Pink Annabelle!
Wow, an Annabelle Hydrangea with pink flowers, what will they find next?
Large bright pink mophead flowers in summer and fall. Dark green foliage, turning yellow in fall. 'Invincibelle' flowers on new growth. Actually this is great, as it will still produce flowers even if the stems die back to the ground, or are damaged by our early frosts.
Like most hydrangeas it prefers rich moist well drained soil, but can tolerate shade or part shade. Like all hydrangeas you also need to know what pruning method to use.
It can be used as a specimen plant, or used in mass plantings. I think some of our rural acreage dwellers who are creating woodland settings, will love this beast. The blooms are attractive, both in the landscape and when used as a cut flower,
--- It is a good choice for both fresh or dried arrangements!
